Coffee Shops in Baton Rouge

Located in Southeastern Louisiana, the state capital, Baton Rouge, is home to Louisiana State University(LSU), a vibrant arts scene, and the famous Creole/Cajun cuisine. The charming city sits on the mouth of the Mississippi River and was named the most cost-friendly mid-sized city to conduct business in the United States by the audit, tax, and advisory firm KPMG LLP.

CC's Coffee House

If you are new to Louisiana, you might be used to Starbucks on every corner, but in Baton Rouge, you are more likely to encounter a CC's Coffee House. In 1955, CC's began its journey in the heart of New Orleans. Since then, it has become Louisiana's favorite specialty coffee house. Their roots in the community and commitment to creating an authentic, comfortable experience combined with quality drinks and baked in-house food are just some of the reasons locals love CC's.

Brew Ha-Ha

Gabby Loubiere opened Brew Ha-Ha in 2004 to make her dream of becoming a successful mother and careerwoman a reality. The coffee shop has become a local favorite for its coffee and baked goods. Since 2019, Brew Ha-Ha has enjoyed brewing its own rich coffee, which pairs perfectly with its famous cake balls. There are 30 flavors of cake balls on Brew Ha-Ha's menu, with additional seasonal flavors to satisfy your sweet tooth.

Lighthouse Coffee

In 2018, a former English teacher for the Catholic Charities of the Diocese of Baton Rouge realized her dream of opening Lighthouse Coffee. This coffee shop isn't just about serving great coffee; it's about making a positive impact on the world, particularly the Baton Rouge community. Lighthouse Coffee sources its beans from Topeca Coffee Roasters in Tulsa, Oklahoma, a unique 100% direct seed-to-cup operation in the United States.

The atmosphere in Lighthouse Coffee is open and airy. The Hope Shop is a market supplied by Hands Producing Hope, an ethical impact nonprofit with a mission to help refugee women build relationships, gain knowledge, learn skills, and provide supplemental income. In addition to the artisan crafts in the Hope Shop, Lighthouse Coffee employs refugees, giving them experience, education, English practice, and other valuable resources to set them up for success.
